First, the development process

The Minzu Youth Volunteer Group was formerly known as the Minzu Youth Volunteer Service Corps, which was established in 1994。In September 2003, it was renamed the Youth Volunteer Service Group of Minzu University of China。In October 2007, under the coordination of the Youth League Committee, in order to integrate resources, the service group was officially renamed the Youth Volunteer Group of Minzu University of China, and gradually improved a series of volunteer work systems such as internal project management, evaluation and commendation, and became a group member of Beijing Volunteers Federation (BVF)。

2. Organizational structure

目前，The Youth Volunteer Group of our school has 4 functional departments (office, Publicity Department, Development Department, branch guidance Department) and 1 project department: Project Department (under the four service teams: Respect for the elderly team, support teaching team, disabled team, environmental protection team).，The scope of services involves many aspects such as respecting the elderly and helping the disabled, supporting agriculture and education, disaster relief, environmental protection, and public welfare explanation services。

The functions of each department are introduced as follows:

office

The office is the central department responsible for internal communication and assists the Presidium in daily management work。Main functions include: daily information uploading and issuing, financial management, public materials management, activity planning and submission of requests, conference organization and preparation work, revision of rules and regulations, data editing and sorting, cadre assessment and evaluation, volunteer service certification, etc。

Publicity department

The Publicity Department is an important department of internal activity data collection and spiritual construction, and also an important window for external image display。Assist other departments in the publicity of large-scale activities before and after;External through the collection of propaganda materials，Write regular and featured events, design and produce promotional materials，Carry out publicity work in a multi-form and all-round manner，And timely submit the activity information to the Youth League Committee, Haidian District Volunteer Federation, Beijing Volunteer Federation and other higher departments。

Development department

The development Department is an optimized combination of the former Development Department and the External Relations Department。Main functions include: to carry out exchanges with sister colleges and public welfare organizations, to explore new volunteer service projects, to carry out various training work and unconventional volunteer activities planning, organization and implementation。

Chapter guidance department

The Chapter Guidance Department is the link between the Association and each branch, guiding and assisting each branch in carrying out volunteer work。Main functions include: recruitment of volunteers, uploading and issuing information of the General Association and chapters, regular collection and sorting of activity data of each chapter, supervision and guidance of activities and trends of each chapter。

Project department

The project department is composed of service departments in four service areas: volunteer education service team, respect for the elderly service team, disability service team and environmental protection service team。As the essence of the team, the department adheres to the purpose of service, trains high-quality volunteers, innovates volunteer service projects, creates high-quality volunteer service activities, and promotes the spirit of volunteer service。

Team for respecting the Old

Practicing the concept of "respecting the elderly, loving the elderly", the school is committed to promoting the spirit and knowledge of respecting the elderly;The school has cooperated with a number of public welfare centers in Beijing to carry out various forms and rich contents of voluntary activities to respect the elderly, and has established good cooperative relations with other universities and social public welfare organizations。

Disabled team

Responsible for carrying out regular activities at the disability centre。It mainly carries out "one-to-one" education and assistance services in Beijing School for the Blind and Beijing Lizhi Rehabilitation Center, and cooperates with Beijing Disabled Persons' Federation to jointly carry out volunteer services for the disabled。

Environmental protection team

Practicing the concept of "environmental protection, recycling, saving", we carry out various environmental protection volunteer activities inside and outside the school, popularize and publicize environmental protection knowledge, and jointly carry out environmental protection public welfare activities with other university environmental protection associations and public welfare organizations from all walks of life。

Volunteer teaching team

Adhering to the principle of "facing the school and entering the community" as the main line of volunteer teaching service, we have established a number of volunteer service bases in Beijing, and organized volunteers to carry out regular volunteer teaching service activities and community public lectures in poor primary schools, and volunteer teaching in rural areas during winter and summer holidays。
